Industrial Waste Pretreatment Program

The City of Bossier City Industrial Waste Pretreatment Program is a federally mandated and approved environmental program designed to identify industrial and commercial users of the City's sanitary sewer system which might be subject to federal and local pretreatment rules and regulations.

Objectives

The objectives of the Bossier City industrial waste pretreatment program are to prevent the discharges from industrial and commercial sources that could; interfere with the operation of the city's collection and treatment system, including interference with the use or disposal of municipal sludge to prevent the introduction of pollutants into the city's sanitary sewer system which will pass through the treatment works or otherwise be incompatible with such works; and to improve opportunities to recycle and reclaim municipal and industrial wastewaters and sludges.
